Resumo

Nos dias atuais, onde a situação política e econômica do país impacta diretamente na área da saúde, é requerido dos hospitais que eles melhorem seu desempenho de maneira estruturada e sustentável. Assim do ponto de vista de engenharia e de administração de tecnologia em saúde, este trabalho apresenta como a periodicidade com que as rotinas de manutenção preventiva atualmente, podem ser redefinidas, com ganhos para a organização hospitalar e sem prejuízos para o paciente, a partir de critérios objetivos. Apresenta um conjunto de premissas que contribuem com a definição de uma nova frequência de intervenções preventivas sobre os equipamentos médico-assistenciais e considera o histórico dos equipamentos que a organização já possui para ajustar e escolher as melhores práticas e rotinas de manutenção preventiva. De maneira geral, apresenta alguns dos critérios, através dos quais uma organização pode adotar para incluir ou excluir equipamentos do seu programa de manutenção preventiva.

Abstract

Nowadays, where political and economic situation of the country, directly affects the healthcare system, is required of hospitals that they improve their performance in a structured and sustainable way. So, from the point of view of engineering and technology management, this work shows how the frequency of preventive maintenance routines used today, can be redefined, with gains for the hospital organization and without harming the patient, from objective criteria. It presents a set of assumptions that contribute to the definition of a new frequency of preventive interventions on medical-care equipment and consider the history of the equipment that the organization has, to adjust and select best practices and preventive maintenance routines. In general, it features some of the criteria by which an organization can adopt to include or exclude equipment of your preventive maintenance program.
