ABSTRACT

This study aims to verify the reality of the riverside community in the Amazon rain forest, as well as to characterize the scientific production on the populations of the waters in Brazilian territory; Characterize the profile of families residing in the traditional riverside community. As a methodology, bibliographical research and data from public documents were used. It was concluded that the difficulty of accessibility for the riverside population has as main variables that influence this issue, the geography of the place, usually due to locations far from urban centers or difficult access to the community, which is often only possible by the river.

RESUMO

Esse estudo tem como objetivo verificar a realidade da comunidade ribeirinha na floresta amazônica, bem como caracterizar a produção científica sobre as populações das águas em território brasileiro; Caracterizar o perfil das famílias residentes na comunidade tradicional ribeirinha. Como metodologia foi utilizada pesquisa bibliográfica e dados de documentos públicos. Concluiu-se que a dificuldade de acessibilidade da população ribeirinha tem como principais variáveis que influenciam nessa questão, a geografia do local, geralmente por localizações distantes dos centros urbanos ou de difícil acesso à comunidade muitas vezes só é possível pelo rio.
