Contributions of PIBID for the teaching training of biologic science students at the State
University of Alagoas campus II Santana do Ipanema

ABSTRACT
The Institutional Scholarship Program for Teaching Initiation (PIBID) emerged in 2007 coordinated by CA-
PES (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel). With the aim of encouraging teacher
training, addressing the training process and future performance, experiencing the daily life of the profession,
thus reaffirming their professional choice. Within the processes, the program off ers a certain number of grants
to institutions, where future citizens must apply, presenting their projects to be developed for 18 months. Thus,
the present study aims to analyze the contributions of the PIBID, of the students of the Bachelor of Biological
Sciences course on Campus II, of the State University of Alagoas. This research used exploratory and descriptive
methods, in order to obtain the data, a form previously elaborated in Google Forms with 15 dated questions
was sent. The results: Greater participation of students from the 5th to the 8th period, aged between 22 and
26 years, the state schools are the most benefi ted by the program, and these schools present flaws in the
physical structure, influencing the development of activities, even increasing or Interested in exercising the
profession by two participants, accrediting that PIBID is a public policy with contributions to the UNEAL
Biological Sciences course as well as presenting positive points, becoming prepared to teach and indicate
PIBID to future students. Finally, the PIBID is of fundamental importance for the theoretical and practical de-
velopment, providing great impact in the formation of future Graduates in Biological Sciences. In this way, the
program as a public policy has an expressive role in the transformation and positioning of the two participants.
