ABSTRACT
Research in science education emphasizes that experimentation plays an important role in understanding the relationships between nature and its processes. Chemistry is a factual and natural science, because its system of knowledge is created from facts that are natural. Experimental work as a means of teaching the natural sciences is widespread among teachers, and it can be said that experimental work plays a central and important role in learning. However, one of the current challenges of teaching chemistry is based on creating a connection between the knowledge learned in scientific areas and the daily lives of students. For this, chemistry teachers must break with traditional teaching, where practical classes are used as a teaching method, since the use of this resource not only combines theory and practice, but also makes the student an active actor in the construction of knowledge.
Keywords: experimentation, teaching, chemistry.
