Abstract

This study explores the universe of investigative journalism, emphasizing its meticulousness, the requirement of time and dedication in fact-checking, and the emphasis on seeking evidence and documents. Over the years, investigative journalism has emerged as a fundamental pillar, unveiling cases of corruption, abuses of power, and human rights violations. Journalist Roberto Cabrini is portrayed as an emblematic figure in this scenario, embodying essential characteristics of investigative journalism such as objectivity, precision, and an unconventional approach. The study uses a diverse corpus, including academic articles, literary works, interviews, and reports, to contextualize Cabrini’s work and trajectory. The research aims to contribute to understanding the role of investigative journalism in contemporary times, highlighting the relevance of dedicated professionals like Cabrini in seeking the truth and exposing issues to the public.
