INVESTIGATION OF EXPERIMENTATION THROUGH YOUTUBE VIDEOS AS A METHODOLOGY TO IMPROVE STUDENTS’ LEARNING IN THE FIELD OF PHYSICS

ABSTRACT:

This work aims to investigate a methodology based on the analysis of videos of real experiments that show in detail the events that occurred to provide careful observation by students. Critically debating the experimental activity through the use of videos, which will be produced in this work, as a real possibility for Physics teaching situations. Data collection will be carried out through questionnaires with discursive questions that compare the teaching of Physics without the audiovisual tool and with the tool, as well as providing support for the investigation of how significant this learning will be and finally whether it is viable , from a technological point of view, its use during classes. The audiovisual resource in general should be a great tool for teaching Physics, because it motivates and gives the possibility of investigation, raises questions in students about what is happening and the search for answers, creating hypotheses and testing them. Experimental activity through videos appears plausible, taking into account that experimentation in schools is linked to: (i) the lack of physical space, (i) the lack of resources and time for elaboration and (iii) even the dangers that some experiments have.
