The present study presents the subject of Law No. 14,191, dated August 3, 2021, which amends Law No. 9,394, dated December 20, 1996, known as the National Education Guidelines and Bases Law (LDB), to address bilingual education for deaf students regarding sexual education, and the linguistic rights of deaf students within inclusive educational settings. The significance of this study derives from the assumption drawn from the struggle of the Brazilian deaf community for linguistic rights within predominantly hearing spaces. This struggle underscores the role of literature as an identity-building tool in the realms of culture, language, and knowledge. This qualitative research aims to identify the provisions regarding sexual education and linguistic rights for deaf students within inclusive educational environments as outlined in Law No. 14,191, dated August 3, 2021, which amends Law No. 9,394, dated December 20, 1996, to establish a framework for bilingual education for the deaf. However, the discourse presented in the documents does not directly address the topics of sexual education or the linguistic rights of deaf students. Instead, it emphasizes granting deaf individuals access to information and technical and scientific knowledge within the national society as well as among deaf and non-deaf societies. While it ensures access to knowledge, it does not explicitly state that the language used to provide this knowledge will be Brazilian Sign Language (Libras).

Keywords: LDB; sexual education; linguistic rights; deaf.
