THE IMPORTANCE OF SCIENCE AT SCHOOL: An analysis with biology teachers in training

ABSTRACT:

Science is an integral part of our human, biological and social reality. It has its role of in describable value and its integrative action and development of technologies and education. Its reasoning and first contact depart, in short,from the School, an institution present in the entire process of educational formation from the most tender to the highest level and from which the questioning of this study starts, which aim stor ai se the know ledge that students of the Degree in Biological Sciences have on the importance of Science at School. For this study uses Qualitative Research with graduates of the 8th Period of the a for e mention ed course at the State University of Alagoas, Campus II, Santana do Ipanema-AL. Data were obtained through a semi-structured questionnaire. In view of the analysis of the results, it was possible to infer that they recognize Science as essential for human development and for their ability to under-stand the Phenomena of Nature. Asa whole, it turnout that Science has an indisputable social and educational role, which involves challenges and obstacles that became more evident and necessary at the time of the global health crisis caused by the SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) pandemic.
