ABSTRACT

This research is devoted to examining the influence of the school environment on child development, encompassing a multifaceted analysis that considers emotional, cognitive, and social aspects. Through a rigorous bibliographic survey, the study traverses the dynamics between innovative pedagogical practices - such as the use of children’s stories and physical education activities - and emotional development, highlighting the impact of emotional intelligence on learning. It assesses how the physical structure and relational climate of the school can affect neurodevelopment and social skills in children, with special attention to those in single-parent family contexts. Evidence emerges reinforcing the importance of interaction with nature within the school context and the decisive role of emotions in the educational process. The investigation suggests that educational practices environment and attentive to students’ emotional health can enhance child development. The conclusion is that the school is a vital space not only for knowledge acquisition but also for emotional and social maturation, serving as an essential foundation in the construction of balanced individuals aware of their role in society. This research contributes to the understanding that pedagogical practices must be continuously revisited and enriched to align with the complex demands of child development in modern times.
