ABSTRACT

The aim of this article is to know how the exchange of experience takes place in the elaboration and implementation of social projects such as violence prevention against children and adolescents. The methodology used was bibliographic, documentary and field research through visits and interviews, with a qualitative approach, with a public security institution located in the Tapanã neighborhood in Belém. We verified that the Anjos da Guarda Project serves 240 children and adolescents, aged from 7 to 16 years old, with whom he develops activities such as: sports and socio-pedagogical preventive measures that alleviate possible situations of violence and crime against children and adolescents, contributing to other activities developed by public policy institutions for social assistance. It was concluded that social policy through basic social protection develops prevention actions, in this case the partnership with other projects such as “Guardian Angels” add efforts to awaken in children and adolescents their potential, self-responsibility and self-knowledge, in order to overcome social inequalities as an instrument of social transformation in the community, contributing to the prevention of violence.
