ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the involvement of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in promoting the democratic participation of minorities. Through a bibliographic research, we investigate the legal responsibilities of the institution, examine its effective practices, and identify challenges faced in the context of inclusion and representation of minorities in the political sphere. The legal responsibilities provide the Public Prosecutor’s Office with legal support to play an active role in ensuring the effective participation of minorities. The research emphasizes the importance of the proactive role of the Public Prosecutor’s Office in promoting affirmative actions, access to justice, and the oversight of public policies aimed at securing fundamental rights for historically marginalized groups. However, when analyzing effective practices, we identify considerable challenges. Institutional resistances, budgetary limitations, and the complexity of the political and social scenario emerge as obstacles to the full effectiveness of the Public Prosecutor’s Office’s actions. The conclusion highlights the need for continuous commitment to democratic principles, improved strategies, and collaborative partnerships to overcome these challenges.
