SUMMARY

This article aims to address the teaching profession in hypermodernity in the face of the challenges of work precarization. The breaking of modern paradigms has led to an exaggeration of values and attitudes in contemporary society. As a result, the teaching profession faces daily conflicts in the school context, having to deal not only with this new generation but also with the challenges of work precarization, such as salary issues, workload, and student-teacher ratios. Using a qualitative approach with a literature review, the study reaffirms that teacher training does not adequately prepare professionals for hypermodernity, and working conditions do not provide support for meeting the needs of this new generation.

Keywords: Teaching profession. Hypermodernity. Work precarization.
