SUMMARY


This article presents an excerpt from the Doctoral Thesis that investigates HIGHER EDUCATION: THE TRAINING OF INDIGENOUS TEACHERS IN THE PEDAGOGY COURSE – NATIONAL PROGRAM FOR TRAINING BASIC EDUCATION TEACHERS (PARFOR), IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SANTO ANTÔNIO DO IÇÁ – AMAZONAS. The study deals with the theoretical and legal aspects of Teacher Training at PARFOR in the Municipality of Santo Antônio do Içá-AM. According to the LDB, in its article 61, the training of education professionals must meet the specificities of the exercise of their activities and the objectives of the different phases and modalities of basic education, that is, from kindergarten to high school. Therefore, training must be solid, based on scientific and social knowledge and on the foundations of the skills themselves, which maintain the association between theories and practices, through supervised internships

and in-service internships, providing the use of training and previous experience acquired in institutions teaching, as well as other activities.
