Summary


This article analyzes the relations between city production, urban mobility, land use tensioned by the dynamics of capitalism to which government planning tends to adapt, although in a permanent process of clashes and contradictions, and in the light of the processes of territorial spreading of the fabric urban. It seeks to understand perspectives and guidelines so that mobility planning overcomes sectoral transport approaches that are alien to the reality arising from the dynamics of capital in urban space. Therefore, the historical development of these aspects and their effects on the structure of the contemporary city will be discussed. Urban mobility will be addressed as one of the main factors that determine the use and occupation of land, as well as the investment strategies carried out by capital. Public policies to encourage urban mobility and their effects on the structure of the city will also be analysed. Finally, the possible contributions of these analyzes to the construction of a more inclusive and sustainable city will be discussed.
