Work process in social work: acting in higher education teaching

ABSTRACT

The present article theoretically discusses the work process in social work within the scope of professional performance in higher education teaching. The methodological aspects were carried out through a bibliographic study, addressing the work process inherent to the professional performance and the private attributions regarding the performance in the teaching of higher education. It is concluded that the work process in Social Service, professional regulations bring definitions, postures and competences, among them “to assume the teaching of Social Service and to coordinate courses and teaching units”, thus, its performance in the education of higher education, especially in the academic formation, requires more than a specific knowledge of the discipline in which it will act, it is necessary a didactic-pedagogical conception for a quality formation of the future bachelors in Social Service.
